Approximately how far would we be able to take a trail stroller down the path to the Window?
A:
It’s not far at all 5 minutes walk from the convenience store and it’s concrete safe for strollers and wheelchairs.

The lodge is the best place to stay in the park. Simple, but clean and great staff.

Where can we rent horses to take a ride to The Window? I did this about 40 years ago.

i'm not sure, about that. i didn't see any stables, but, the website should be able to answer that. i know they do, at palo duro , but, we went all over big bend and didn't notice any riders.

I was going to take our dog. Good idea?
A:
No. Sorry just seeing this. Too many ways for a dog to get hurt. Also everywhere are warnings about bears and mountain lions. We have a hiking dog but I would never take her to being bend!

I have Verizon, and I had okay reception on the northern and western edges of the park, but not in the Basin.
