Two children, including an infant, are injured after a fire broke out in their Bath Beach, Brooklyn apartment building.

Officials say 16 people were injured in a fire in Bath Beach, including six firefighters. Officials say an adult and child were found unconscious. Three people, including two children and one adult, are in critical condition.

Sixteen people, including six firefighters and at least two children, were injured in an early morning fire at a Brooklyn apartment building, the FDNY said. The fire started just after 6 a.m. in a seven-story building at 65 Bay 19th Street in the Bath Beach area,

Six firefighters were also injured in the blaze along with seven residents. Each of them was treated for minor injuries.

The community in Bath Beach is dealing with the wreckage left behind. CBS News New York's Zinnia Maldonado spoke to residents who say they're thankful for their safety and hope the children recover.

Firefighters pulled a man out of the fire, and he had burns throughout his body, and a laceration to his neck.
