Per CBS Sports: “Sources tell CBS Sports — and UNC confirmed this week — that there is no fully-executed and signed contract between Belichick and UNC. And industry sources say that could lead to a legal gray area about how much, if any, of a buyout there would be if Belichick left for the pros.”

The post is of Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, holding a North Carolina football, and the caption reads “two people who are overtly committed to @uncfootball.” There will probably still be rumors until Belichick signs his contract, but this might quiet the rumblings a bit.

Among the challenges of rebuilding North Carolina's roster, Belichick faces arguably the tallest task of adjusting to the recruiting trail rather than relying on the NFL draft. In an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Friday, Belichick was asked about his recruiting pitch to recruits as he pieces together his first class with the Tar Heels.

Bill Belichick and school officials have signed his official employment contract, formalizing the hiring after speculation that the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach might opt instead for a return to the NFL.

Players at St. Sebastian’s, Xaverian Brothers, Dexter Southfield, and Arlington met with the former Patriots coach.
