The daughter of a 53-year-old French woman who fell victim to an elaborate social media scam involving an imposter posing as Hollywood star Brad Pitt has broken her silence. Speaking on the program La Grande Semaine on Saturday, Margot addressed the public criticism her mother has faced since the story became public.
Brad Pitt has warned people to be careful after a catfisher used AI images of the actor to scam a French woman.
"Our brains work on emotion, not logic. Logic tells you this could be a scam; emotion makes us fall for it anyway," an expert told Newsweek.
