Two former Penn State football players facing felony rape charges are free on bond while they await their next hearing. Kaveion Allen Keys and Jameial James Lyons, both 19, are accused of raping a 17-year-old Penn State student at their on-campus apartment in early July.

Two former Penn State football players are facing rape and assault charges following a reported incident involving two female victims, including a 17-year-old Penn State student, on the University Park campus.

Penn State coach James Franklin declined to answer questions after two of his former players were accused by police of raping a 17-year-old woman in July.

Jameial Lyons and Kaveion Keys, a pair of former Penn State football players who face felony charges of rape and other sex crimes, appeared in court Wednesday. An unsecured bond was set for Lyons at $500,000 and an unsecured bond for Keys was set at $400,000.

Jameial J. Lyons Jr., 19, of Philadelphia, was accused of raping a 17-year-old Penn State student July 7 at an on-campus apartment. He was also accused of groping, digital penetration and forcing her to perform oral sex.
