The Dallas Mavericks tipped off a five-game road trip with a 137-136 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, avenging their loss in this building a few weeks ago. Four players from each team scored at least 20 points, and both teams shot above 45% from three, but the Mavericks made five more three-pointers, one of the bigger differences from the game.

The Dallas Mavericks were on the wrong end of a bad call in their last trip to the Big Easy exactly two weeks ago. That wasn’t the case this time around. Dallas started their longest road trip of the season on a positive note and succeeded by gutting out a 137-136 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.

P.J. Washington scored 25 points, making all four of his 3-point attempts in the fourth quarter, and Kyrie Irving added 25 points and six assists as the Dallas Mavericks outlasted the New Orleans Pelicans 137-136.

That shooting performance put Daniel Gafford in the Mavericks' record books for the most games in team history without missing a shot (minimum of nine shots attempted). He also joined Lively and DeAndre Jordan as the only players in franchise history to have 20 points and 10 rebounds on perfect shooting, according to the Mavericks PR team.
