Penn State DC Tom Allen could leave to become Clemson defensive coordinator, sources say
Penn State could be losing its defensive coordinator for the second time in two years. Tom Allen is trending toward taking the Clemson defensive coordinator position that was vacated by Wes Goodwin, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported the news.

Allen, 54, was named a semifinalist for the 2024 Broyles Award, given to the nation’s top assistant coach, for his work with the unit in his first season. Like Goodwin, Clemson’s former DC, Allen also served as the team’s linebackers coach.
