Brandon Saad scored twice for the Blues, who received 21 saves from Jordan Binnington. Robert Thomas left the game midway through the third period after blocking a shot earlier.

Saad played 16:30 and tied for the team high in shots on goal with four and one hit.

Saad scored two goals in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Jets. He was the only St. Louis skater to beat Connor Hellebuyck on the night, shoveling home rebounds in the first and third periods, but Winnipeg dominated the second.
