The National Weather Service issued a snow squall warning at 12:58 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 1:30 p.m. for Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester counties.

Be prepared for snow overnight across Massachusetts. If you're traveling early Wednesday, you may need to leave a little extra time.

The National Weather Service is forecasting 2 to 3 inches of snow across the region. The best chance for the higher snowfall amounts may be in western and northern Massachusetts. Untreated roads may be snow covered and slippery for the Wednesday morning commute.
