Carmelo Anthony has finally explained the context behind the photo of him and Rihanna that went on to become a viral meme in the mid-2010s. He cleared the air during the Thursday (Jan. 16) episode of 7PM in Brooklyn podcast,

In the photo, the retired NBA champ looked as if he was ready to “risk it all” for the Bajan beauty, although he was very much married at the time. However, according to him, he was simply caught off guard by the overwhelming number of flashing cameras—not by Rihanna herself.
