ACC power rankings: SMU asserts itself as league power while Clemson, Miami remain frontrunners
SMU improved to 6-1 with a 40-10 win at Stanford in Week 6. The Mustangs are the first team in college football history to start 3-0 in conference play after moving to a Power Four or Power Five conference from a Group of 5 league. Rhett Lashlee and the Mustangs trend upwards in the power rankings entering Week 9.
ACC power rankings after Week 8: Miami, Clemson hold on to top spots
It was another strong week for the ACC, particularly for the teams at the top of the league. Miami, Clemson and SMU all won in convincing fashion this weekend and thus retained their hold on the top 3 spots in this ranking.
