During his time as LIV Golf CEO, Greg Norman never missed an opportunity to promote the fledging golf league, often with a bombastic tone that only seemed to fuel the tension the Saudi-backed endeavor created while disrupting the world of men’s professional golf.

Greg Norman says he would love to sit down with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to discuss how Saudi-funded LIV Golf has made them richer.

A few months ago, Sports Business Journal reported that LIV Golf would move on from embattled commissioner Greg Norman and replace him with a seasoned sports administrator.

Greg Norman said "I really have changed the game of golf more than what people realize" in a recent interview.

Rory McIlroy has never hidden his frustration with Greg Norman, frequently criticizing the Australian as he helped launch the LIV Golf League and, in McIlroy’s mind, initiated the schism with the PGA Tour that has harmed men’s professional golf.

I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished or more pleased with where the league stands today," Greg Norman says of LIV Golf.

Norman hit back at the PGA Tour stars, saying in the interview that the players that remained on the tour wouldn't be making the money they are right now without LIV, specifically citing the PIP (Player Impact Program) that he believes Woods and McIlroy have specifically benefitted from.

Greg Norman said he'd win a debate with Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods on the topic of how those PGA Tour marquee names benefited financially from the upstart new circuit.Norman served as LIV Golf's commissioner and CEO upon its inception before being replaced by Scott O'Neil last week.

Woods publicly called for Norman to step down from LIV Golf in the interests of mending fences between the breakaway circuit and the PGA Tour. McIlroy blamed Norman in part for a “civil war” in golf, previously saying that he should “exit stage left” to allow the “adults” to patch up the sport’s schism.
