STATE COLLEGE | No. 1 Penn State once again asserted its dominion over college wrestling, head-locking No. 2 Iowa 30-8 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday in a match that cemented the Nittany Lions atop the sport's hierarchy. Penn State wrestling won eight of 10 bouts, losing one with a missing starter, and dominated some of Iowa's top wrestlers.

FIRST PERIOD: Penn State's returning national champion Greg Kerkvliet picks up the first takedown of the match to earn a 3-0 with over two minutes to go in the period. He notches another takedown to end the period with a 6-1 lead in short time and asserts his dominance at the start of this final match.

Penn State wrestling will attempt to continue its dominating march toward another NCAA Championship on the biggest winter stage Friday night. The No. 1 Nittany Lions against No. 2 Iowa in the sold-out Bryce Jordan Center in State College.
