Several fast food restaurants have taken the decision to remove onions from their menus as a precaution following the McDonald's E. coli outbreak.

Taylor Farms also issued a recall on its peeled, diced and whole peeled yellow onion packs “due to potential E.Coli contamination”

The chains are acting amid a food-safety crisis tied to McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. Officials haven’t tied any cases to the Yum brands.
