On Tuesday night, the Eanes school board voted to shutter Valley View Elementary and end its Spanish immersion program. Parents left feeling betrayed.

On Thursday, the Eanes ISD School Board voted to close Valley View Elementary School starting next school year. A release from the district said the closure was due to declining enrollment at the campus.

The Board of Trustees met Tuesday evening to vote and hear public testimony. Autumn Woods is a parent whose children attend Valley View Elementary School. She was a speaker at the meeting who opposed closing down the school.
