The NFL could discipline Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith for the play that injured Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin.

Chris Godwin’s left ankle injury was brutal, devastating, hard to watch and disappointing. And it leaves the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to navigate their season without one of their best players. While Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles was questioned for leaving Godwin in the game down 10 points against the Baltimore Ravens with 1:34 left,

That’s when, as tight end Cade Otton put it later, “the terrible reality of this game” struck and star wide receiver Chris Godwin suffered an ankle injury with 59 seconds remaining that left him on his hands and knees as the cart came onto the field to take him to the locker room while fans chanted his name.
