As the Raiders look for their next head coach, two candidates who have gained Tom Brady's respect have risen to the top.

Former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is now coaching college football with the USC Trojans:

Glenn was an assistant coach in Seattle from 2012 to 2023, serving in several roles, including coaching linebackers. He was an assistant special teams coach for the Washington Commanders this past season.

Hurts largely succeeded against the blitz on the NFC side of the playoff bracket. But the Los Angeles Rams, who sacked Hurts seven times in Philadelphia’s 28-22 win in the divisional round, gave the Eagles quarterback considerable trouble. Oftentimes it appeared his checkdown options were ill-placed or covered up entirely.

For some of those teams, that will involve finding new head coaches and/or General Managers. Three teams fired their head coaches during the season and two more have been dispatched as of 9 a.m. ET on January 6.

So far, besides the Patriots and Vrabel, Lions coordinators Ben Johnson (Bears) and Aaron Glenn (Jets) have been scooped up, while Bucs OC Liam Coen is heading to Jacksonville, Pete Carroll is reportedly returning to the sidelines with the Raiders and Brian Schottenheimer has been hired by the Cowboys.
