On Wednesday Silver was asked by Dan Patrick on the Dan Patrick Show for the wildest ideas that have been discussed in NBA offices as they try to improve the game, and Silver took the opportunity to make the case for a change he feels would be beneficial: shorter games in the form of 10-minute quarters.
The Indiana Pacers are in Paris to take on the San Antonio Spurs and their French-born superstar Victor Wembanyama on Thursday. The Pacers arrived Monday morning and will be there through Saturday's game and don't have another game in the U.S. until Wednesday at home against the Pistons.

The NBA commissioner notes he may be alone on an island, but is a proponent of having games be 40 minutes instead of 48.
The NBA is still exploring ways to expand its role in European basketball. Commissioner Adam Silver said Thursday that those talks with FIBA and other stakeholders will continue.
