Everyone is talking about it, Bally Sports is set to rebrand as the FanDuel Sports Network. If you’re an Atlanta Braves fan, this change might not make life easier for those trying to catch the local broadcasts.

Bally Sports North, which has been broadcasting Timberwolves, Twins and Wild games since 2021, was officially rebranded FanDuel Sports on Monday.

The embattled Diamond Sports Group announced a new gambling-related partnership for its local broadcasts of NBA, MLB, NHL games.

In Northeast Ohio, Diamond operates Bally Sports Ohio, the television home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Bally Sports Great Lakes, which had broadcast Cleveland Guardians games for many years but will no longer next season. The networks will be rebranded FanDuel Sports Network Ohio and FanDuel Sports Network Great Lakes, respectively.

Diamond — the parent company of Blues regional telecaster Bally Sports Midwest — has been in bankruptcy proceedings since March 2023, a result of dwindling cable viewership over the years.

Bally Sports Wisconsin' is no more, with a name change coming this month to the network that airs Milwaukee Bucks games.

This is a proposed naming-rights deal, which means very little is going to change from the customers' point of view.

FanDuel takes over Bally Sports, rebranding regional networks to expand its brand. The move offers a significant boost amid Bally's restructuring efforts.
