Dunkin' customers in a few states were left with doughnut-sized holes in their stomachs last week when a temporary supply shortage left some stores without doughnuts.

Several Dunkin' locations in Nebraska reportedly didn't have any doughnuts to sell on Thursday, Jan. 9, and Friday, Jan. 10. The shortage was reportedly due to a 'manufacturing error.'

Dunkin’ dropped the “Donuts” from its brand name years ago. Now — at least in Nebraska, New Mexico and a few other states — it doesn’t have doughnuts on the shelves either.
