GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay City Council wants to set the record straight on its approach to Lambeau Field lease talks with the Packers. Negotiations between the two sides have been non-existent most of the year, after the Packers made three offers for an extension.

Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich says the Packers' proposed plan for the team's lease agreement is a "total non-starter" for the city.

The Green Bay Packers and their host city have very different views of what a new Lambeau Field lease should include, and the two sides appear even to disagree on the existing one.

The Green Bay Packers organization posted a statement on their website Wednesday criticizing Green Bay’s mayor and asking the Green Bay/Brown County Professional Football Stadium District to step in on lease negotiations.
