New York Liberty star guard Sabrina Ionescu set the record straight about the controversial calls that supposedly dictated the WNBA Finals' outcome.

For the first time in franchise history, the New York Liberty are WNBA champions. This came after their incredible Game 5 victory on Sunday against the Minnesota Lynx as the Liberty lifted the title for the first time at Barclays Center.

Sabrina Ionescu is a WNBA champion. The former Oregon Ducks guard and the New York Liberty captured the title with a 67-62 overtime win over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday night in game five. Ionescu joins former Ducks teammate Nyara Sabally and two-time MVP Breanna Stewart in celebrating the first-ever WNBA championship for New York.
