COGIC MOVING OUT - The Church of God in Christ's Holy Convocation will be held in St. Louis 2026 through 2028.

The Church of God in Christ’s annual Holy Convocation is leaving Memphis again. The 2025 convention will be held in Memphis, but the event will move to St. Louis for 2026 through 2028. The convention took an 11-year hiatus away from Memphis but returned in 2022.

The Church of God in Christ held its annual event in St. Louis from 2010 to 2019. It returned to Memphis in 2022. Sophia Surrett is a recent University of Alabama graduate, where she received her B.A. in news media and M.A. in journalism and media studies. She covers restaurants, residential real estate, and hospitality and tourism.

The convention brings up to 25,000 people to Memphis every year and contributes more than $30 million to the local economy.
