Last week, the LA Times published its electoral endorsements for the 2024 election. And while the paper noted in its first line that it is “no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation,” that was the only mention of the presidential race in its endorsements.

The editorial board of the Los Angeles Times isn’t making an endorsement in the presidential election for the first time since 2004, a decision that leaves Vice President Kamala Harris without the official backing of her home state’s largest newspaper.

A Semafor report alleged Tuesday the Los Angeles Times owner blocked the publication from endorsing a presidential candidate despite doing so for years.
