House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will attend former President Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, according to a source familiar with Johnson’s schedule, as Republicans hope his outsize presence in New York will deliver them a House majority.

The conservative attorney turned never-Trumper has encouraged his 2.3 million X followers to sign up for tickets to the former president’s upcoming rally at Madison Square Garden. Trump is planning his event for Oct. 27 to kick off the final week of campaigning.

No Republican running for president has won New York and its considerable allotment of electoral votes since President Reagan in his historic 49-state landslide victory in 1984.
