NCAA President Charlie Baker says there's plenty of time to figure out the best window for the transfer portal.

The Jaguars' most significant transfer portal loss was running back Fluff Bothwell. The freshman All-American ran for 832 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2024. He committed to Mississippi State on December 24.

A record-setting winter window witnessed more than 2,600 FBS players enter — a number that continues to grow with late entries. Just because the transfer portal is closed does not mean movement will slow down any time soon.

While it's not uncommon for a player from a Group of Five or FCS program to have aspirations of transferring to a larger program, it is pretty rare for a player to openly admit that is their goal. Ford will join the Warhawks as the highest-ranked running back recruit in program history, picking them over Louisiana Tech, Memphis, and Minnesota.
