Police have arrested a man who hijacked a TriMet bus and holed up inside, leading to an hours-long standoff near Downtown Portland.

A 10-hour standoff between police and an allegedly armed man barricaded in a North Portland home ended Wednesday night with no shots fired and no injuries, police said. The tense encounter was the second of its kind Wednesday. In Old Town, a man who fired shots commandeered a TriMet bus and then refused to leave it, drawing a huge police presence.
